Maison Chaumet x Evans Mbugua
In 2018, Maison Chaumet, a high jewellery house and Evans Mbugua collaborated to take an artistic trip around Africa through jewellery. This led to the TRÉSORS D’AFRIQUE collection. Espièglerie, designed by Evans Mbugua, is composed of six brooches, one of which (the ants) can be transformed into earrings. It revisits the classic animalistic theme inspired by stories from his childhood and playful observations of wild animals from his country, Kenya.

Artists Celine_A and Evans Mbugua have shared studio spaces for many years, fostering a dynamic environment of mutual inspiration. Through ongoing dialogue and close observation of each other’s creative processes, they have developed collaborative works on paper, including Souffle de Vie and Metamorphose.
